It was one of the most memorable races in Atlanta Motor Speedway history.
The ending would have made that statement true enough, with Daniel Suarez winning a photo-finish NASCAR Cup win with his #99 Chevrolet beating out Ryan Blaney (barely) and Kyle Busch followed by Austin Cindric, Bubba Wallace, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and others. Suarez’s car nosed out Blaney at the finish line by a stunning 0.003 seconds.

What made today at the Ambetter Heath 400 NASCAR event even more memorable was re-occurring wrecks and mishaps that frequently paused the event. There were ten caution lights, eight of which were due to on-track incidents including one in the first opening minutes of the race that involved 16 cars, including Suarez’s. He continued on despite the wreck to win the race.
It was also a very competitive race, with 48 lead changes, setting a new record at AMS, topping the previous 46 lead changes in March 2022.
Although Suarez got the win, Busch has the lead in Cup standings with a one-point lead over William Byron, winner of the Daytona 500.
