UPDATE: overnight the Atlanta Braves posted this update on Ronald Acuna Jr.’s condition…
“OF Ronald Acuña Jr. was seen by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles last night, who confirmed irritation in the meniscus of his right knee. Acuña Jr. is set to gradually increase baseball activities and is expected to be ready for Opening Day.”

The Atlanta Braves are hoping an injury to Ronald Acuna Jr. is a temporary issue he can quickly bounce back from in time for the start of the regular season.
Since late last week, Acuna suffered from a Meniscus irritation affecting his right knee. He was removed from the lineup on March 1st “as a precaution.” The next day, An MRI that was taken confirmed the soreness in the affected area.
The Braves’ Alex Anthopoulos told MLB Network Radio that he expects Acuna to be fully healed by the Braves’ regular-season opener on April 5th.

In other Braves news, as the spring training season for the Braves rolls on, the team made some changes today.
The Braves optioned right-handed pitcher Ian Anderson, left-handed pitcher Dylan Dodd, and also right-handed pitchers Daysbel Hernandez, Allan Winans, and Darius Vines to Triple-A Gwinnett.
The Braves also reassigned lefty Ben Bowden and righties Tommy Doyle and C. Tyler Tolve to minor league camp.
The team now has 53 players in its camp.
