It looks like some help might be on the way for the Falcons’ stretched defensive line.
Linebacker Devine Deablo appears ready to return to the field after a forearm injury sidelined him. The Falcons opened a 21-day window for his return.
He could return to the Falcons’ active roster as soon as Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. But the team has not confirmed he will be ready to play by then.
“I expect to see him,” said coach Raheem Morris about Deablo. “I don’t want to act like I’m going to activate him and not see him. I hope we’re going to see him unless something otherwise says something.”
According to the Falcons’ injury report, Deablo was limited Wednesday but fully participated on Thursday.

When asked what it would take for him to feel comfortable on his re-entry to the field, Deablo told the press Thursday, “Honestly, I need to run at full speed. Make sure my endurance is right, make sure my mind is right as well, make sure I know my assignments, and make sure I can do everything at the best level possible. Then, I’ll be ready.”
Besides Deablo, Dee Alford (CB), Mike Hughes (CB), Xavier Watts (S), Malik Verdon (ILB), and Brandon Dorlus (DL) also fully participated in today’s practices. Leonard Floyd (E), Chris Lindstrom (G) and Matthew Bergeron (G) were in limited practices. Drake London (WR, on injury reserve), Josh Woods (ILB), and Zach Harrison (DL) did not practice today.
