Atlanta Dream Top Indiana Fever

The 15-13 Atlanta Dream outlasted the Indiana Fever Sunday, 82-73, thanks to racking up points in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters of the game.

Rhyne Howard was the most active, scoring 24 points. Allisha Gray scored 21 on 6-of-10 shooting. Gray made 3 out of 4 three-pointers. Cheyenne Parker scored 16 points.

Fever’s Aliyah Boston was the biggest scorer for her team with 25 points, Kelsey Mitchell was next with 20, and Erika Wheeler with 15.

The Dream went on the attack early and stayed on offense through most of the game, with an opening layup from Gray and three-pointers by Nia Coffey contributing to an early 11-1 run for the Dream. They would outscore the Fever 23-18 in the first quarter, 20-16 2nd, and 19-16 3rd. Fever only lead Dream in the 4th quarter, 20-23.

The Fever lead in points on the paint, 34-20. The Dream jumped to big leads 14 times to Indiana’s 2.

Atlanta Dream is currently 5th in WNBA standings, at  .536 PCT and 9.5 games out of first place.
