No one will forget the series that just concluded between the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets anytime soon.
The Braves sure won’t, but the Mets might want to!
The Braves handed the Mets a three-game loss to sweep the series. In each of those three games, the Braves rallied to overtake the Mets by the game’s end. On Monday they were down three runs at one point during the game but would improve to a 6-4 victory. On Tuesday, the Braves were also down three runs before winning 7-5.
Thursday would be the series’ most dramatic yet, with the Braves down four runs on two separate occasions during the game before tying it up at 10 apiece with an Orlando Arcia homer. A walk-off homer by Ozzie Albies sealed the win for the Braves 13-10.
That victory triggered a championship-like celebration at Truist Park.
The Washington Nationals visit the Braves for a three-game series starting tomorrow at 7:20 PM.
