Allisha Gray dominated the opening activities on WNBA All-Star Weekend.
On the Friday night before the All-Star Game, Atlanta Dream guard Gray became the first player in the league’s history to win the Kia Skills Challenge and the Starry 3-Point Contest in the same year.

Gray completed the course in the All-Star Skills Challenge in 32.1 seconds in the final round, 2.4 seconds better than Sophie Cunningham of the Phoenix Mercury. She also bested fellow WNBA players Kelsey Mitchell (Indiana Fever), Brittney Griner (Mercury), and Marina Mabley (Connecticut Sun).
In the Starry 3-Point contest, Gray netted 22 points in the final round, topping New York Liberty’s Jonquel Jones.
For winning both contests, Gray gets $115,150 in prize money. (She gets a regular salary of $185,000, according to Her Hoop Stats.) She also receives $2,575 from the WNBA and $55,000 from life insurer AFLAC.

Gray’s teammate, Rhyne Howard was a part of the 3×3 Showcase, where her Olympic team defeated the U23 team by being the first to score 21 points after 10 minutes expired.
