On a night when newly hired Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins visited to drive in the Golden Spike, the Five Stripes could not seal a victory for the Dirty Bird’s co-owned MLS soccer club and gave up two goals to Cincinnati. They would lose the game 1-2.
Thiago Almada would score Atlanta United’s only goal in the 59th minute. It would not take long for the visitors to respond, with Luca Orellano scoring in the 62nd minute and Luciano Acosta in the 64th, all the goals they needed to put the game on ice.
