Atlanta United only needed two successful shots to beat the visiting Orlando City team in their third regular game of the season.
Those goals came from Saba Lobzhanbidze in the ninth minute, and Giorgos Giakoumkais in the seventieth minute. It’s the second straight match Giakoumakis has scored at least one goal.

That Atlanta United managed to pull off a convincing win over Orlando is remarkable considering the latter had possession of the ball 58% of the time and had as many shots as Atlanta did (11-13). Atlanta fouled 16 times while Orlando only got 7. The Five Stripes also saw the yellow card five times while Orlando was warned only once.
Brad Guzan had a good night, with four saves. Although he suffered hamstring pain in the second half, he managed to achieve a clean sheet, his first of the season.
This win gives Atlanta United a 2-0-1 record, good for seventh place in the Eastern MLS Conference. They will play Toronto on the road this Saturday.
