Braves Top Mets 5-6

The Atlanta Braves took the second in the four-game series against the New York Mets.

The Braves topped the Mets 6 – 5 in the home-based series. Ronald Acuna, Jr. got 3 of the runs scored tonight. Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley, and Travis d’Arnaud accounted for the others.

Albies hit a double in the first inning that scored Acuna, Jr. In the second inning, Austin Riley singled, sending Acuna, Jr. to cross home plate once again. The only homer of the night was from the Mets Pete Alonso, which accounted for the team’s three runs.

With this victory, the Braves are now 7-3 for the season. The series with the Mets continues on Wendesday and Thursday.
