Hours away from a long team trip overseas to Germany to take on the 7-2 Indianapolis Colts, Falcons coach Raheem Morris briefed reporters on some key players on the injured list and their progress.
- Matthew Bergeron (OL): Ankle injury. Week to week. OL Kyle Hinton will play in Bergeron’s place if he is unable Sunday.
- Chris Lindstrom (OL): Foot. Day to day, but Morris says he feels better about his status this weekend.
- Storm Norton: There was a “setback” in his recovery since he was in full practice last week. It appears he may be on injury reserve for a while longer.
Also, long snapper Liam McCullough may not be available this week because his wife is expecting.
The Falcons announced they have released DL Ta’Quon Graham. He was a fifth-round draft pick in 2021.
There was some degree of good news for the Falcons’ defense. Cornerback Billy Bowman Jr. was back out on the practice field today, as was OL Zach Harrison. “[I] feel good about it,” Morris said when asked about Harrison’s readiness for the day’s practice. “You never know until you get through practice and these things. But I feel good about it.”
The Falcons head to Berlin overnight Thursday to meet the Colts this weekend.
