Two contenders to make the Falcons’ initial 53-man roster who were passed over are getting another shot.
Edge rusher Ronnie Perkins and defensive lineman Simeon Barrow Jr. have been added to the team’s 17-man practice squad. These moves fills one empty postion on the roster, while offensive tackle Brandon parker was released to make an extra space available.
Perkins joined the Falcons during training camp. He was formerly with the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions, where he made 17 tackles and 3.5 sacks in the five games he was in. He has NFL experience as well, with the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals.
Barrow saw action in all three Falcons preseason games, getting a sack, forced fumble, and two tackles. He was signed as an undrafted free agent with the Falcons.
