Falcons Trade Up In 2nd Round For Defensive Help

The Atlanta Falcons aren’t letting up on their aggressive moves in this year’s draft.

After surprising folks with a #8 pick of quarterback Michael Penix Jr., in the first round, the Falcons pulled another stunning move. They traded their #43 and #79 overall picks to the Arizona Cardinals for their #35 and #186 picks.

They used their #35 pick to get Clemson defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro.

Orhorhoro got a 2023 total of 5 sacks at Clemson. He has 25 tackles that year as well, 13 of which are solo efforts.

He was with Clemson for five seasons.

The Falcons have the 79th pick later tonight.
