The Atlanta Falcons didn’t make any big trades today, but they did make some roster moves ahead of their upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts in Berlin, Germany Sunday.
The team signed kicker Zane Gonzaez, who has 96 successful kicks out of 120 field goal attempts, an 80% career success rate, according to team beat writer Terrin Waack. He has also made 146 of his 153 extra point attempts.
He replaces Parker Romo, who was waived after an ill-fated point-after attempt that left the Falcons a point short and losing to the Patriots last Sunday.
Ben Sauls was also released from the team’s practice squad. Lenny Krieg remains on the Falcons’ practice squad, while long snapper Zach Triner is signed to the group.
The Falcons announced today the signing of offensive lineman Andrew Stueber. Stueber worked on three of the team’s 2024 pre-season games, but did not make the Falcons’ 53-man roster. He then joined the Cincinnati Bengals, with five offensive snaps and 38 special teams snaps to his credit there.
