Hawks Hold On To Defeat Knicks 116-100

The Atlanta Hawks had to dig in to end their two-game losing streak, although mistakes and missed chances frequently got them in trouble.

The team defeated the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, 116- 100. They had a 22-point lead over the Knicks in the second quarter, but the Hawks couldn’t sustain it late in the third quarter and had to fight to stay on the winning side of the ledger. They held on to the lead throughout the game and wound up closing the game with a 16-point lead.

Jalen Johnson got the most points, at 26. De’Andre Hunter was next with 22, and Dejounte Murray came next with 21. Johnson had the most assists at 7, Saddiq Bey , Johnson, Clint Capela, and Murray all got 9 assists each. Johnson shot the most threes of any of the Hawks, at 12.

The Hawks were 50% in made shots compared to 38% for the Knicks. Atlanta also led in 3-point shots, 32% to 30%.

The 27-34 Hawks head home to face the Cavaliers tomorrow night.
