Intending to provide his own take on news about him before the press does, Atlanta Hawks Trae Young has just launched his own podcast.
Called “From The Point”, the first episode of the podcast features him and business partner/friend Michael Porter Jr. of the NBA Championship contending Denver Nuggets, talking about among other things, the previous Hawks season, his upcoming launch of the third edition of his line of shoes, and his thoughts about the current post-season in the NBA. He even talks about the NBA Finals, where he says his friend’s team will win the series in five games.
The Hawks’ point guard says the podcast will “set the record straight” by providing answers to questions about his game and life “from the source,” and that he will have a rotating cast of guests, friends, and fellow NBA stars to discuss life on and off the basketball court.
The podcast launched on all formats on June 1st. The podcast already has more than 2 thousand subscribers on YouTube.
Young joins a growing list of active professional athletes with their own podcasting platforms, including Draymond Green, Travis Kelce, and Brandon Marshall.
