Suprising moves in this year’s 53 man roster

The Atlanta Falcons have posted their initial 53-man roster today, and the surprises were more about who wasn’t on it than who was.
The most surprising cut was Easton Stick, the quarterback who worked all three preseason football games. Many thought his performance in those games was enough to land him a spot on the roster, especially with the possibility of backup QB Kirk Cousins being traded. Alas, he was released today.
The Falcons now have two QB’s, Michael Penix Jr. (QB1) and Cousins (QB2).
Also among those surprise cuts were Kentavius Street, the defensive lineman from last season, Khalid Kareem, edge rusher, and Jordon Fuller, safety.
Lenny Krieg, the kicker who was in competition with Younghoe Koo, is heading to International Player Pathway.
Nine players were released, thirteen were waived, and eight others were placed on injury designations, like Storm Norton (designated to return), Kaleb McGary (injured, out for season), Troy Anderson (PUP) and Malik Verdon (non-football injury).
