After a lengthy pause in his season due to an injury, Falcons wide receiver Drake London is easing back into the lineup.
Falcons coach Raheem Morris confirmed this morning that London, who suffered a knee injury during Week 11 vs. the Carolina Panthers, would start practices today. He is still on “day to day” status, and his practices will be to determine what is status is.
“Looking forward to seeing how much he’ll be able to give us this week.”
Morris also said today that cornerback Mike Hughes will not play in the upcoming Cardinals game this Sunday. Also, LB Troy Andersen, DL Zach Harrison, and Edge Bralen Trice will not be playing this season.
Morris said there is a possibility Kirk Cousins could be called upon to fill in the first few games of next season if Michael Penix Jr. is unable to fully recover over the offseason from his knee injury that he has recently had surgery. “Everything is on the table,” Morris said.

The Falcons announced this morning that TE Kyle Pitts Sr. is the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. He scored 3 touchdowns from 11 receptions, and ran up 166 yards in last Thursday’s game vs. the Buccaneers.
