The defensively challenged Atlanta Hawks fell to the Orlando Magic 110-117.
The Hawks stayed behind the Magic through most of the game, only leading in the second and third quarters. They narrowed the gap enough to force overtime, but the Magic took the lead once again and never yielded it back. The Hawk’s largest lead was nine points.
Trae Young led in points (31) and assists (9). Clint Capela led in rebounds (12) while Onyeka Okongwu had five blocks.
This is the Hawks’ second straight loss and the 21st overall so far this season. They are in 12th place in the Eastern Conference and 14 games behind the division-leading Boston Celtics.
Their next game is Wednesday at home against the Philadelphia 76ers.
