The Atlanta Braves will have to dig in this season without one of their most potent pitchers.
The team announced this morning that RHP Spencer Strider underwent surgery to repair the injured shoulder ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow Friday. The operation uses an internal brace, and was performed by Dr. Keith Meister, in Dallas, Texas.
As a result of the surgery, Strider will miss the rest of the 2024 season.
No further comment from the Braves as of this writing.
