Atlanta United lost its second consecutive match against division rival Orlando City 2-1.
United was never able to keep Orlando away from the goalposts Saturday, with Antonio Carlos scoring in the 25th minute and Duncan McGuire in the 60th minute in the second half. This is despite the Stripes owning the ball 60% of the game and getting 17 shots over Orlando’s 10.
Caleb Wiley scored a goal in the first half in the 22nd minute.
United will travel west to play the Seattle Sounders at 10:30 PM on Wednesday. The Sounders are 4th in the Eastern Conference and 10-6-8 record. United is ranked 7th with a 9-8-7 record.
