Trae Young Cleared To Rejoin Hawks (UPDATED)

The Atlanta Hawks said today that Trae Young, who was off the schedule for the past six weeks due to a left fifth-finger injury, has been cleared to resume practice and contact with the team

This announcement was made after a six-week follow-up evaluation of the progress of Young’s injury since the subsequent surgery.

Since the February 23rd injury, the Hawks have gone 12-10 in its last 22 games without Young. The other Hawks starters, particularly DeJounte Murray, have been taking up the scoring slack in Young’s absence.

No official word as to when Young will be available in time for the Play-In tournament, likely against the Chicago Bulls, in mid-April.
