It took two weeks, but the Georgia Bulldogs are the new top team in the College Football Playoff rankings.
Primed by their 52-17 victory last Saturday against Ole Miss, The Dawgs’ ascent to the top ends the two-week reign of Ohio State. Both Georgia and Ohio State are undefeated, but there was wide speculation that Georgia would move up in the rankings because of their noticeable defeat of a tough opponent.
The new rankings are as follows:
- Georgia
- Ohio State
- Michigan
- Florida State
- Washington
- Oregon
- Texas
- Alabama
- Missouri
- Louisville
Ole Miss, the team the Bulldogs defeated to get to #1, ranks #13 this week. The team Georgia will face this Saturday, Tennessee, is #21.
