The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly found their player health and performance czar.
According to Tom Pelissero, of the NFL Network’s The Insiders, The Hawks plan to hire Ben Peterson as vice president of Player Health and Performance, citing his sources. The Hawks have not commented on or confirmed the report.

Peterson is currently head of player health and performance for the San Francisco 49ers, where, according to Pelissero, he oversaw athletic training, functional performance, strength and conditioning, and nutrition for the athletes. Peterson has held this position since 2019.
While he is crossing over from football to basketball with this apparent hire, Peterson also has experience in professional hockey as well, as he was director of sports science for the Philadelphia Flyers.
