Penix Jr. Signs With Falcons for $23 Million: Report

Newly drafted Atlanta Falcons rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has officially joined the team.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported on X/Twitter this afternoon that Penix Jr. and the team had agreed to terms on his rookie contract. He is getting a four-year deal that is worth $22.88 million, with a $13.46 million signing bonus. Pro Football Talk says the deal includes a fifth-year option.

The Falcons now have all eight of this year’s draft class under contract.

Schultz cites sources for his report. Neither Penix Jr. nor the Falcons have confirmed this report as of this post.
