The Atlanta Dream is hot property in Atlanta, and they have the ticket sales to prove it.
The WNBA franchise announced they have sold out of season tickets for the upcoming season. They are one of two WNBA teams that have sold out of their season tickets already this season, the other being last year’s champions, the Las Vegas Aces.
“We’ve continued a record-setting growth trajectory over the past three years under new ownership-both on and off the court,” said Dream president and COO Morgan Shaw Parker, in a statement. “2024 is shaping up to be our best season yet.”
Last season saw the Dream make the playoffs for the first time in five years. This year, the Dream is riding a national wave of popularity in women’s basketball, driven by the popularity of former women’s college basketball, and now incoming WNBA stars Catlin Clark and Angel Reese, among others.
The team added forward Nyadiew Puoch and guards Isobel Borlase and Matilde Villa, all draftees, to their roster. The team will also hit Atlanta broadcast TV, with the games now airing on Peachtree TV (WPCH Channel 17.)
The Atlanta Dream’s 2024 season starts May 14. Additional tickets go on sale this Thursday.
