According to Sportico, a respected sports business news website, Atlanta United ranks 17th among the world’s most valuable soccer clubs this year. The site projects the club’s value this year at $1.05 billion.
The club placed at #18 on last year’s list.
It is the second most valuable Major League Soccer team on the list, behind Los Angeles FC, with a value of $1.15 billion. The Five Stripes are among five MLS clubs that placed in the top 20.
Manchester United ranks first on the list with $6.2 billion in value, followed by Real Madrid at $6.06 billion.
