Braves Get New Infielder, Catcher in Trade With Angels.

The Atlanta Braves are getting a new infielder. And a catcher.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Braves are acquiring infielder David Fletcher and catcher Max Sassi in a trade with the L.A. Angels for 1st baseman Evan White and right-handed reliever Tyler Thomas.

Passan states on X/Twitter that the Braves will likely try to move Stassi, since they already have two catchers on their roster. Stassi will be making $7 million this season.

The Braves confirmed the report in a late evening social media post.

This move comes as the Braves are continuing to make post-season moves to shore up their standing for next season.
