As the Atlanta Braves approach the All-Star break, the team is making changes due to an illness in the regular roster and a recovering player’s progress in rehabilitation.
The team announced they have recalled infielder Luke Williams to the core roster. This is due to infielder Brian Anderson‘s bacterial infection. Anderson has been placed on the team’s 10-day injured list, backdated to June 22nd.
Also, the Braves have transferred pitcher A.J. Minter‘s rehabilitation assignment to Triple-A Gwinnett. CBS Sports reports that Minter got in some rehabilitation practice at High-A Rome last Saturday, allowing an unearned run and a hit while sitting down three batters in one inning. The Triple-A transfer is likely the last step in Minter’s recovery from a hip injury.
