The Atlanta Braves have guaranteed themselves a series victory over the Houston Astros with tonight’s win.
The Braves only had an Orlando Arcia homer in the top of the second, and a run scored in the seventh inning. The ninth inning brought four more runs for the Braves, one of which came from a Kyle Tucker homer. The Astros picked up two runs in the bottom of the ninth, but that was it. The Braves would take the second of a three-game series with the Astros, 6-2.
There was an anxious moment involving Ronald Acuna Jr, who missed a sliding-catch attempt. He pointed to his right knee and fans, who already saw three Braves starters this season go on the injury list, feared the worst. But Acuna was checked out and he stayed in the game.
The Braves will go for the sweep tomorrow.
