Georgia Tech started out aggressively but was unable to slow down Clemson’s offense and wound up losing to the Tigers 42-21.
The Yellow Jackets capitalized off a muffed fake punt from Clemson that became a turnover to the Jackets that led to a touchdown drive. But the Jackets couldn’t keep Clemson in check for long.
Clemson would score six touchdowns, three more than Tech, whose quarterback, Hayes King, went 13 of 31 for 129 yards. He scored two touchdowns but was responsible for four interceptions. Tech’s most noteworthy performance was in the fourth quarter, as Dante Smith took a 32-yard pass from King to score one of three Tech TDs in the game.
