Falcons Add Offensive, Defensive Prospects To Roster

The Atlanta Falcons are still looking for new additions to their roster, and today, they announced two potential add-ons to their team ranks.

The Falcons signed offensive tackle Jaryd Jones-Smith and defensive tackle Prince Emili. Emili was previously reported as a possible signing by various media reports.

With the NFL since 2018, Jones-Smith was an undrafted free agent with the Houston Texans, then the Las Vegas Raiders (2020). He saw little playing time with both teams, with only three games and fourteen snaps to his credit with the Raiders.  He joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2021, only playing in three games but seeing little offensive action. The following year, he joined the Washington Commanders practice squad.

Jones-Smith joined the United Football League’s St. Louis Battlehawks earlier this year.

Like Jones-Smith, Emili made various appearances in different NFL teams, then appeared in the UFL before landing at Flowery Branch.

He signed with the Buffalo Bills as a free agent in 2022, appearing in two games where he got three tackles and a pass breakup. Then he joined the New Orleans Saints in 2023, where he was signed to a reserve/future contract but got released the same year without seeing any field action.

He was a part of the UFL’s Championship contenting San Antonio Brahmas this past season.

In other Dirty Bird roster moves, offensive lineman Nolan Potter and defensive lineman Willington Previlon have been released from the team.

MLFootball reported on X (Twitter) that another UFL player, Juwann Bushell Beatty of the Battlehawks, is working out for the Falcons, according to their “league sources.” The Falcons have not confirmed this report.
