Falcons Pick #109: Brandon Dorlus, DT

The Atlanta Falcons have selected Oregon’s Brandon Dorlus, defensive tackle, as their 4th-round pick. Dorlus is their second defensive tackle selected in this year’s draft.

The NFL’s Combine Analysis says Dorlus is a “Physical, heavy-handed defender whose pedestrian production could see an increase at the pro level.” One minus on his record is he “struggled to build an impressive rush resume while at Oregon.” The 6’3″ 283 lb Dorlus got a 6.16 prospect grade with “good backup with the potential to develop into a starter.”

At the Combine, Dorlus key numbers were the 40-yard dash (4.85 seconds), vertical jump (30.5″), broad jump (9’3″) and 20-yard shuttle (4.85 seconds).

Dorlus played 13 of 14 games for Oregon as a starter in 2021, with 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks to his credit.
