The Atlanta Hawks proved once again they can win even without their star player.
The team defeated the Utah Jazz 97-124, their second straight victory without Trae Young, who had surgery today on his injured finger.

The team led the visiting Jazz nearly from start to finish, building to a 30-point lead in the fourth quarter, which was the Hawk’s most consistent performance since the All-Star Break.
Jalen Johnson scored the most points, at 22, while Clint Capela got 13 rebounds and Dejounte Murray had 10 assists.
It was an emotional night for both teams as former Hawk John Collins returned to State Farm arena tonight as a member of the Jazz. He got 5 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists against his old team.
The Hawks are now 26-32 in the NBA Eastern Conference standings, good for 10th place and staying play-in eligible. The Hawks go on the road to New York City for three games against the New Jersey Nets and the NY Knicks.
Earlier today, Young had successful surgery on his fifth finger. He posted this message to fans via social media.
