Could the Hawks be turning a corner?
After weeks of ‘winning one night-lose the next’ performances, the Atlanta Hawks seem to be on a roll, winning their last four games, beating LeBron James, Kevin Durant and now Stephen Curry, and outscoring the Raptors, Lakers, Suns, and Warriors 534 to 501 collectively.
Tonight, the Hawks went overtime to beat the Golden State Warriors 141 to 134. Curry put up 60 points in regulation as the Warriors led mostly in the first two quarters. The Hawks would respond in the last two quarters leading by as much as 7 points before forcing overtime where the Hawks would completely dominate the Warriors at State Farm Arena.
Curry was the biggest point scorer of both teams. Trae Young put up 35 points. Onyeka Okongwu got 16 rebounds and 2 assists.
The Hawks shot 48% while the Warriors were 44% shooting on the night. Three-point shots were equal between the two teams, 32% for both.
The Hawks look to keep the streak going as they face the L.A. Clippers at home this Monday.
