Young is departing from an agency that also represents Hawks teammates Dejounte Murray and Jalen Johnson. L.A. Lakers star LeBron James is also with Klutch Sports.
Young’s big change comes as speculation continues to grow over his future with the Hawks. After another so-so season with no championship to show for it, Young has been stating his desire for the Hawks to be more competitive in the post-season and hasn’t ruled out playing for another team. Some observers say financial and team matters could mean the departure of either Young or Murray this off-season.
According to Sports Pro Media, CAA is the most valuable sports agency, with contracts worth nearly $18 billion. They represent nearly 2,900 athletes, like Dwyane Wade, Devin Booker, and Derrick Henry. Non-athletic celebrities represented by CAA include Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, and Reese Witherspoon.
