Taylor Heinicke will once again throw the ball for the Falcons.
The Atlanta Falcons this morning released their Depth Chart for Sunday’s game, which shows Heinicke in starting QB position and incumbent quarterback Desmond Ridder in backup position.
The Athletic’s Jeff Schultz reported Tuesday morning that Falcons coach Arthur Smith is benching Ridder, citing a source, after a disastrous game against Carolina that resulted in a 9-7 loss for the Falcons.
Heinicke will start this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
This will be Heinicke’s second run as QB for the Falcons this season.
There had been no immediate comment by Coach Smith or the Falcons on this report.
