The Atlanta Falcons continue to release more details about the growing and changing coaching roster that will support new head coach Raheem Morris. Earlier this week, the Falcons announced members of the team’s coordinators. Today, more of the coach’s support staff were announced. Seven of the nine members of Morris’ staff were members of the Falcons staff last season under departed head coach Arthur Smith.

Jerry Gray
Gray will retain his assistant head coach title, now reporting to Morris. Before joining the Falcons, he worked with Green Bay Packers (2020-22), Minnesota Vikings (2014-19), Tennessee Titans (2011-13; 1997-2000), Seattle Seahawks (2010), Washington Commanders (then Redskins; 2006-09), and Buffalo Bills (2001-05). This is Gray’s second season with the Falcons.
T. J. Yates
Yates moves from wide receivers coach to quarterbacks coach. Ironically, Yates was a quarterback for the Falcons in 2014.
Dwayne Ledford
Was offensive line coach last season, will be the Falcons game coordinator/offensive line this season. This will be his third season with the Falcons. Before joining the Falcons, he was in the college football circuit, working for the University of Louisville, Tennessee State University and University of North Carolina, among others.
Michael Pitre
Will remain Falcons running backs coach. Joined the team in 2022. Previously was a running backs coach for the Chicago Bears in 2021.
Jay Rodgers
NEW HIRE! Rodgers joins the Falcons from the Los Angeles Chargers, where he was defensive run game coordinator/defensive line. He will be the Falcons defensive line coach starting next season. Before joining the Chargers, he worked for the Chicago Bears as a defensive line coach 2015-20, and earlier for the Denver Broncos in 2009.
Dave Huxtable
Retains last season’s position as senior defensive assistant. Was an analyst for the University of Alabama from 2021-22. He worked for various college football programs including Georgia Tech, North Carolina State University, University of Wisconsin, and the University of Texas.
Steve Scarnecchia
NEW HIRE! Scarnecchia joins the Falcons as chief of staff, coaching operations. He previously worked as New York Jets chief of staff from 2021-23. He worked for the Falcons, Broncos, and New England Patriots in various roles.
Sarah Hogan
Hogan remains director of coaching operations after being promoted from assistant director of coaching operations in 2022. A Falcons staffer since 2015, she was also the coordinator of scouting administration and was part of the Falcon’s coaching operations team.
Donovan Ellison
Remains coaching operations assistant. He joined the Falcons in 2022 as an analyst. Before then, he worked for the Carolina Panthers.
