The Georgia Bulldogs baseball team saw one of its most successful seasons come to an end.
Their opponents, the North Carolina State Wolfpacks, outhit the Dawgs 15-7 and plated 8 runs over the Bulldog’s 5. Georgia’s pitching was unable to cool down the Wolfpack’s hot bats. Departing Bulldog Charlie Condon hit a homer in the bottom of the 9th that moved the Dawgs closer to the Wolfpack, but they could not overtake the visitors.
The Wolfpack took the best of three series 1-2, and will go on to Omaha, Nebraska to compete in the College World Series.
The Bulldog’s season ends with a 43-17 record.
