The Atlanta Falcons added to their defense Wednesday.
The team announced the signing of defensive lineman Tommy Togiai to the 53-man roster, according to Falcons head coach Arthur Smith.
Togiai was a former member of the Cleveland Browns practice squad. The six-foot-two, 296-pounder saw little action on the field at his old team this season, but last year, he appeared in twelve games and started two. In that time he registered 13 tackles, interrupted a pass, and was credited with a fumble recovery and a half sack.
The Browns drafted Togiai from Ohio State in 2021.
This is one of a few key moves made by the Falcons this week, along with QB Taylor Heinicke moving to starting position, QB Desmond Ridder moving to backup, and DL Travis Bell being released from the team.
