The Atlanta Falcons made new additions to its coaching staff today, as well as announced some retentions of existing staff members.
John Griffin joins the Falcons from the Los Angeles Rams as its new director of player performance. Josh Nelson, an assistant athletic director at Penn State for the last five years, joins as the team’s director of performance science.
Paul Constantine is the Falcons’ associate director of strength and conditioning. He was originally director of applied science at the University of Alabama last year.
Erik Jernstrom, formerly an adjunct professor at Linfield University in Oregon, is assistant director of strength and conditioning.
Rod Dadona has been hired by the Falcons as manager of coaching operations. He previously worked with the New York Jets for the past five years.
Jacquies Smith is the outside linebackers coach. He was an assistant edge coach for the University of Texas.
D. J. Williams is the offensive assistant/ assistant quarterbacks coach. He was offensive assistant for the New Orleans Saints for the past five years.
Previous regime Falcons staffers staying put are Shawn Flaherty, who was assistant offensive line coach, and Patrick Kramer, who retains the title of offensive assistant.
