Ronald Acuna Jr. picked up his record-breaking habits where he left off last season. Tonight, he stole his 190th base, topping a record previously held by Rafael Furcal, who had 189 stolen bases. He now leads the franchise for stolen bases.
Other former Braves behind Acuna Jr. and Furcal in stolen bases are Otis Nixon (186), Jerry Royster (174), Dale Murphy (160), Ron Gant (157) and Chipper Jones (150).
His teammate A.J. Minter had a record of his own to break. He has 108 holds, a franchise record that was held since 1986.
Meanwhile, at tonight’s game, Travis d’Arnauld was unstoppable,with a two-run homer in the 4th inning, while pitcher Bryce Elder was unhittable, for 6 2/3 consecutive innings.
