Falcons Begin Search For Coaching Staff

Now that the Atlanta Falcons got that head coach situation settled, they have moved on to new business:

Finding coaching staff to support newly hired head coach Raheem Morris.

According to ESPN NFL Nation reporter Todd Archer, the Falcons have sought permission to speak to Dallas Cowboys defensive line coach Aden Durde, citing multiple sources. Durde spent five years as a defensive quality control coach and outside linebackers coach with former Falcons head coach Dan Quinn, where he also worked with incoming head coach Morris. The Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams are also seeking to interview Durde, according to Archer’s post on X (Twitter).

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported on X that the Falcons requested an interview with Louisana State University co-offensive coordinator Cortez Hankton for the team’s offensive coordinator position. Hankton helped develop Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas, two potential first-round NFL Draft picks. He was a former pass game coordinator and receivers coach with the Georgia Bulldogs in 2018-21.

The Falcons have not commented publicly on these reports.
