Hawks Waive Patty Mills, Convert Trent Forest To Standard Deal

The Atlanta Hawks announced that Patty Mills will be leaving the team.

The Hawks this afternoon waived the 15-year veteran guard, who played for the team for a year. He was acquired from the Oklahoma City Thunder last summer. As a Hawk, Mills averaged 2.7 points, 1.1 rebounds in the 19 games he played here, according to the Associated Press.

Mills, before joining the Hawks and Thunder, also played for the San Antonio Spurs, Portland Blazers, and Brooklyn Nets.

In addition to the Mills news, the team also converted the two-way contract for guard Trent Forest into a standard NBA deal.
