Panthers Bake Aggies at Potato Bowl

The Georgia State Panthers made the most of their Famous Idaho Potato Bowl appearance today by soundly defeating the Utah State Aggies 45-22.

Both teams scored most of their points in the first quarter, the Panthers scoring three touchdowns and the Aggies two. The best of the three Panthers TDs was the last 15 seconds of the 1st quarter where Taillique Williams went 27 yards for a Darren Grainger pass.

In the 2nd quarter, Cadarrius Thompson took a 23-yard pass from QB Grainger to the end zone, and in the 3rd quarter, Thompson took a 37-yard pass to the house for a touchdown.

In all, the Panthers crossed the goal line six times today, vs. three for the Aggies.

This game caps off a winning season for the Panthers, at 7-6, coming in fifth in the Sun Belt Conference East.
